What I'm Wearing

Today, I thought I'd do a little 'what I'm wearing...' like other fashion blogs. It's only a small one as you can only really see the top half of me due to my lack of a camera.
To be honest, it is mainly about my new necklace that I received as a late present from one of my best friends. It is beautiful and costume jewellery which I love... very crowded and not very simple.

It has the antique feel with the Victorian-style pendent in the middle which is then modernised with the surrounding golden leaves and flowers mixed with pearls and chains.

An excellent combination.

She's from the Block

It is the beautiful
Jennifer Lopez

I love her! She has an amazing voice, an amazing body, amazing videos and amazing music!
(Yes, I did just use amazing four times!)
She has just come back to the spotlight after having a break for family life and I do not blame her! If I had two beautiful toddler twins like her, I would definitely take time out of the lime light and play with them all day long.

Just look at them...

Stunner's

This morning, I saw J.Lo's new video for I'm Into You ft. Lil Wayne and I just love it. It's hot, sexy, has beautiful clothes in it, a great dance sequence and the location looks fabulous!
I'm carrying on with the summer theme here.

First, the dresses!
I love them all of course and obviously Jennifer Lopez can carry them all off because she has curves and is toned! As if that happens in real life! I wish it did! Seriously.
She has about five different outfit changes in this 4 minute 20 second video which nearly ratios at a dress a minute.

This little number shows off her toned legs fabulously and it shimmers in the sunlight adding that extra sparkle that every girl needs. The laid back wet hair adds to the casualness of the entire outfit making it look like something that we can all pull off.

This dress I absolutely adore! It is backless... need I say more? The split up the leg and the flowing material makes it look beautiful and easy to wear. She looks magnificent, like a goddess coming down from above to Earth.

This outfit looks like it would be so much fun to dance in. It swishes and it swooshes with an edgy feel to it also. It looks like it is Caribbean and African style giving the entire scene an exotic feel.

The sea!
And the man!
He is a stunner and deserves to be topless in this video. If I were Marc Anthony, I'd be a tinsy winsy bit scared.

The song is great also! It is definitely a summer tune with the beats and the melody along with rapper Lil Wayne.
I love the whole thing.

Perfect Getaway

Sun. Sand. Sea.
An extension to the previous post...

I have always wanted to go to that secluded place with golden sand and the bluest sea and not a single soul visible. Just think of lying in a brand new bikini on the warmest sand with a brand new read in your hand. Also wearing sunglasses, sun hat and sun cream for protection of course. I could spend months living like that without a care in the world.
Maybe one day I will go.
Wishing and dreaming!

One day...

Summer Lovin'

Summer is here!
It is officially my Summer which is going to be spent up North with my home friends and family. We're going to be bombarded with a lot of BBQs I hope and lounging around in the sun with alcohol.
There may be a summer holiday for me to Tenerife depending on money and where and when so that will be amazing! It is my second home after all!
I wish I knew that I was going to be spending a couple of weeks near a sparkling blue sea with golden sand. It is the best way to spend summer.

Fashion is hot, hot, hot as always, but in summer we have sizzling brights and accessories to show off for the next three months!

Bring on summer!

Hair will be beachy, long waves or scrunchy buns, at least that's how I'll be wearing mine with some small braids.
No straighteners or curling tongs please!

Enjoy your summer!

Summer Ball

Four days later and finally I am going to blog about my first Summer Ball at Roehampton University!

Daytime
The daytime wasn't as spectacular as everyone made out it would be to be honest. The queue was long and only the waltzers and dodgems were free.
However, the waltzers was amazing fun especially when it's me and Nat (the two who don't like rides) on the same one, screaming a lot. I nearly wet myself (genuinely) because I was laughing so much!

Before we could enter the ball, we had to get wristbands.
Yes, I am still wearing mine.

DJs were playing throughout the day and night but the comedian, Lee Nelson performed in the day.

He was funny, he was crude and he was generally entertaining; a good laugh. He got girls up to dance all over each other and him which they enjoyed; suffice to say, he enjoyed it a lot more!

Night time
The night time began in the Newman 3 corridor with an award ceremony and pre-drinking.
The awards were things such as:

biggest farter
who would be most likely to end up as a stripper
most gullible
sluttiest
biggest flirt
best laugh
best accent
best bum
funniest
best chef
who is the secret skidder?
best Fez memory
best Bop memory

 chunder queen
& many more

I received the first three.
Yes, that's right, not that you needed to know that; I'm really not that bad! Honest.

Thanks to nthorpe.blogspot.com for the majority of the list!

We got photos outside of us all: the Newman girlies.

I love them all!

Piccy of me in my H&M dress...

At the ball, Nat and I went on the waltzers again and she thought she was going to throw up. I was scared for my dress!

My boyfriend came! Hana took a wristband and it worked. That wristband is worth £50!
He wore a new black suit and looked very smart! I was a proud girlfriend.

Got the the front of The Streets which was very exciting!
My heels paid for it though. They are ruined!
An excuse for some new ones.

The Summer Ball kicked off my summer and the next few posts shall be about summer fashion.

Much love!

Rings

Simple title for simple things, rings.
I love rings. They are the pieces of jewellery that I can buy and buy and buy and carry on buying until there are none left, which is of course impossible, unfortunately.
I love huge staple rings that beg to be looked at for longer than a glance and I love rings in the shapes of animals too. I have a beautiful fox ring and a snake ring too.

There are my rings, you can see they're mostly humongous ones!
I could definitely carry on my collection and thanks to my cousin's boyfriend for the ring holder, I can show them off even when they're not being worn.
I think I may have to invest in another one soon, the amount that is already on there!

Dare to Bare your Back

In my opinion, my best asset is my back.
I have already 'enhanced' it with two tattoos: one down the side of my back from the crease where the arm meets the back and two, a small one to the right of the bottom of my back.

Sorry about the poor quality of this image.

So, there are two out of the three tattoos that I have, the third one being the chinese symbol of strength on my right hip.

I love all three of my tattoos, having my first (the top image) done at the age of 17. I have just turned 19 which proves that it is true that tattoos get a little bit addictive.
I love all three and each have a meaning to me which shows that unlike some people, I have actually thought about each of mine and what I actually want for life.

Mantenga la fe y viva sin lamentos
This has a lot of meanings for me:
a) It is in Spanish which is my second language and one that I hope to conquer, eventually.
b) Mantenga la fe means 'keep the faith'. It is an MJ song and faith is part of the definition of my name.
c) viva sin lamentos means 'live without regrets' which is a saying for everyone to be true to yourself and to never regret anything especially if it made you smile at the time or after.

Live, Love, Laugh
This is what the second image means in sanskrit.
This also has many meanings for me such as,
a) My cousin and I both have it in the same place so it always reminds me of her.
b) We got it last summer because it was the best summer I have ever had although there were some tough times in it. I bypass that and look at the amazing things I did.
c) I definitely lived every single moment last summer.
d) I met up with an old friend who is now my boyfriend so I found love again.
e) I most definitely laughed every day and enjoyed my last summer before I went to university.

Strength
This has a personal meaning but also reminds me to get on with life no matter what it throws at you. I know that I'll get through it because I am a strong person.

Again, sorry about the poor quality!

Now, back to the reason why I wanted to write this blog (I always, without fail, go off on a tangent about something).
It is about baring your back in fashion, something that I love to do.
I have a family wedding coming up next month and I really want a backless dress, so I was looking on asos.com and found this dress that I have just completely fallen in love with:

In the sale for £25.50.
I guarrantee that by the end of today, I will have bought this dress even though I really cannot afford to, really.

But, it is in the sale and I think it would be an amazing outfit for a wedding. I can dress it up with high heels, or like the catwalk video, I could wear ballet shoes.

I love backless dresses and if it was possible, I would have a whole wardrobe dedicated to them, without a doubt!

All from asos.com ranging from £30 - £100.

Vogue UK 'Hidden Treasures'

Other beautiful backless dresses

If I was a fashion designer, my USP would definitely be backless.
