March Inspiration

I haven't blogged in what seems like a month. It practically has been a month. I could give all the excuses in the world and to be fair, I have been working my backside off in school: teaching over 300 Spanish kids per week is not the easiest of jobs. I am still loving life as an English teacher, however. It is good and every day is different. One day last week, I was demonstrating cricket with a group of year fours and the batter wacked a girl in the eye. That does not happen everyday. I felt awful about it obviously.

Last month I went to Alicante and Madrid! I am travelling a lot more which is great! I have 39 postcards now.

I cannot believe that March is already here! Where has the time gone?! March is a very important month for me as it is my Dad's birthday - which was yesterday - and my Mum's birthday too, as well as other family members'. Plus, it is Mother's Day on Sunday! Money has been spent.

Also, in two weeks and four days I will return home! I am very excited to see my family and friends and to have proper grub!

So, here is my inspiration board for March. Look out for a what I'm doing this month post coming soon.

Here's to a good month! White rabbits and all that!

January Inspiration

I nearly forgot to write an inspiration post for this month until I realised the other day that I hadn't done one.

January is full of hopes, but also blues. It is after Christmas and everything has to go back to normal unfortunately. However, as this is the year that I am being mega positive and trying not to be negative, these are the good things that are inspiring me this January.

(L-R) It is a brand new year; what I am wishing for this year; pretty piercings; staying free to be my own person; long hair with short shorts... and tights; GOING TO LONDON; January flowers; keeping a diary - this one pictured is actually one kept by a first world war soldier; wearing pretty things despite the cold; having my life on my own turf, in my own time; creating my new tattoo; black and white swan mixed in fashion.

I had to get up early this morning and I'm glad I had to go out. It makes me feel like I haven't lost my day like I normally do when I'm in bed. I think I might give Martinez a visit and have some tortilla.

I need to do a load of boring stuff today aka revise, do laundry, buy food etc.

July Inspiration

It's officially Summer... supposedly. All the rain has come instead of the sunshine, although I will be going to Portugal which means holiday, relaxation, and the sun, and sea!

Here's my July inspiration, and some things that I'm looking forward to this month.

(L-R) Mexican inspiration for decorations, My new favourite obsessive read, Summer inspired editorial, Summer hairstyle (always), Portugal beach, Desk/work space inspiration, Surfwear at Fatface, Beautiful coronations, Sunset over the sea.

This will be a great month for me, despite all the rain.
We can hope for summer yet!

Inspired: May

This blog is my little inspiration diary, and I have left it for weeks! I need to keep it up, especially whilst I'm in Spain (which is in four months time!!) so I can keep all my inspirations and memories from there on this little piece of internet.

As we are on the 8th May already, I feel it's time to post some inspiration images like I do every month! it's my birthday in four days, so there will be balloons and party dresses in spring time.

Enjoy!

It's my birthday in four days, so I've made a special Birthday Mood Board for all you May birthday's out there (and everyone else too).

To add to this inspiration filled post, I've found an image that just sums up the fact that no matter who you are, whatever you've lost, whatever has happened to you in life, you can still head out to acheive your wildest dreams.

Balls and Proms

Tomorrow is the Summer Ball for me and the rest of my fellow Roey's. It will be a long day full of drink, girly fun and mayhem, along with the help of a few celebrities:
Chase and Status
Eliza Doolittle
&
The Streets

Eliza Doolittle is only on for a measly half an hour due to her minimal song list containing the top ten number Pack Up.
However, Chase and Status and The Streets are on for an hour each so that is two and a half hours of celeb company for us students.

DJs of all different styles will be joining us too throughout the day, night and early morning hours... 13:00 - 4:30.
It will be hectic but I am glad of it because it's going to be one of the best days and nights of the year.

Cue the fairground, foodcourts, Silent Disco and Survivor's Photo at 4:45.
A bit of variety for everyone.

Now for the extra exciting (and annoying) part for the girls...
what to wear?

It is an all day event and that is the reason some people have taken the liberty of buying a day dress and a night dress... I wasn't that smart (and I have no suitable shoes to wear!)
Casual dresses are definitely a winner as who wants to be uncomfortable for the entire day?
Think bright colours (neon in my case), summer florals and the occasional sophisticated blacks and nudes.

H&M
My dress.

So there you have it, a mixture of inspirations for Summer 2011 ballwear that is not poofy and extra heavy for no reason.
Make a difference in what you wear to your ball.
