May Inspiration

May is my favourite month of the year because there is always something happening every weekend throughout it.

Also, it is my Birthday Month! And this year, I am turning 21 in Alicante, on the beach or by the pool side with the majority of my favourite people in the world. It's safe to say that I am looking forward to next weekend!

This weekend, there is a festival in Murcia, SOS 4.8, which I will be attending with one, or more, of my friends.

The fourth weekend I'm taking a trip to my beloved Roehampton to see my lovely uni friends for the weekend of the Summer Ball! I worked it last year so it will be exciting to actually be able to attend it again this year! Plus, seeing all my friends will be amazing because I miss them huge amounts.

And, the weekend after that, my best friend is coming to visit me in Murcia!

On top of all these busy weekends, I have work in my school which I still love, plus I have a tonne of work to do for university too, on top of tutoring sessions and sorting my room out (which I've already started).

(L-R) Family; Birthday Balloons; Beach Bedroom; Interiors; Drinkin' With M' Bitches; Imogen Belfield Ring; Festival Fashion; Pretty Little Dress; Friends On The Beach; Too Many Clothes To Fit In One Suitcase; Summer Lovin'; Peacock Colours

May really is the best month of the year!

What I Bought Yesterday

Yesterday, I went to Nueva Condomina for some necessities (and some sale splurges). I ended up spending quite a bit of money whilst walking around the shopping centre for hours. That is the reason why I don't go to that place a lot. I spend way to much money in there.

Stradivarius:

One of the reasons I needed to go shopping was to buy a skirt like the one above. It was only six euros!! It may need an iron. I go to London tomorrow and needed something to wear on Saturday night. I'll be having (sophisticated) cocktails at Slug & Lettuce. I'll be teaming the skirt with a black lace bralet - I don't care that it has been snowing - one of the above shirts (probably the skull one), black tights and black wedges. I wanted a shirt to go over the top of the outfit and saw these two beauties from the new collection in the store. They were 12.95 each but I really liked them; not that I'll wear them much but ah well!

Zara:

I saw the top first and really like it. I love saying/image vest tops recently. There were no smalls so I had to buy a medium. It's a little baggy but if I tuck it into a skirt it looks good. Green is my favourite colour, and emerald is the colour of my birthstone so I just had to pick up the first skirt pictured. It was in the sale for 19.95 as was the black silk skirt. I really liked them both when I tried them on. The top was around 6 euros too. I can justify all the buys so it is fine that I've bough another two maxi skirts and another vest top.

Botticelli:

I really wanted to buy another bag for the plane tomorrow. I was going to take my new blue handbag with the skull on but I doubt that I'd get everything in there. My Mum suggested my bright hippy-style backpack which I thought about but that against my black Pull and Bear coat would not work at all. Hence the need for a new bag. It looks kind of small but I think I can get all I need in there for my long weekend away. It has a load of different zip compartments inside which is really good for putting my passport, boarding passes, phone, I-pod etc. in. I still need to print my boarding passes off! For less than 25 euros aswell, I think it is a pretty good bargain!

I got a job at the local school instead of going to university too! I found out in the early hours of the morning. I am so ecstatic that I have the job and don't have to go back to that uni! And what better way to celebrate than flying back to London tomorrow for a long weekend! I am far too excited. I do have to get up at the latest 7am tomorrow morning to catch the 8am bus to the airport. It will be worth it when I am back in The Union with my friends and eating at the local Ask Italian!

For the rest of my day, I'll be deciding what to pack, packing, skyping my parents and going for Italian tonight for a friends leaving meal.

Last Week at Roe

This post is a little bit different to my normal posts about inspiration or fashion, style, film, whatever. This post is a little bit about my life. Yes, I've done 'updates' in the past but here it is.

1. The 4th of May was my last hand in date of 2nd year and although it was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders at the end of it, in hindsight it's a little sad. My next university lecture will be in Spanish, in Spain, Murcia to be exact, and don't get me wrong, I'm SO excited to go to Spain, experience a new culture for almost a year, and have an entire different life to the one I'm used to in England. One of the reasons I moved to London from the North was for this September. I went to Roehampton not knowing anybody and I've made (cheesy as it sounds) friends for life. I know I'll be alright once I get over the initial scared s**tless phase. I'll be back come the September after next, but the majority of my friends will have graduated by that point, so that's the saddest part about going to Spain. I'm not going to be able to spend my (or their) final year with them.

2. All the soppiness over. I filled out my Murcia application form today, and (despite the depressing above paragraph) I am so excited to go! I can't wait for the warmer weather, speaking Spanish (hopefully fluently), eating tapas, making new friends, travelling (I'll be going to Malaga/Benidorm some weekends), and so much more! I really want to buy new clothes, which I know I shouldn't because I've spent humongous amounts already! I'm loving the new style of tees which have gaping holes for sleeves! Them with LA prints are amazing a la New Look & River Island.

3. Currently, I'm at home (up North). Returning to London tomorrow. I've got work the next day, Thurs, and the massive, long awaited Summer Ball that I'm working. It's going to be mental, but worth it! I need to finish writing up more articles for a new online culture mag I'm writing for The405. My first article is here. I also need to go to Central this week, mainly Covent Garden, Camden, Oxford Street, maybe the V&A for another article I'm working on for a new american online mag that will be revealed once the first issue has been published in August. Plus, it's my housemates birthday on Wednesday so we are all going out in heels (of course) and dresses for her 21st! All this plus packing up my room, and lunch with a friend. It's a very busy week for me!

I hope I haven't bored you with the details of my life!

Much love!
