Miss Dobrev

My obsession with The Vampire Diaries has escalated into my obsession with the cast.
This post is dedicated to Nina Dobrev, the face of Elena and Katherine. She can only be described as an extrememly talented actress for playing opposite roles in one TV show. I have not yet seen any young actress having the ability of playing such different roles in one place. If you are a fan of The Vampire Diaries, and why wouldn't you be? you will see that Elena is more of the goody-two-shoes out of the two female protagonists. Katherine is very much the conniving, evil bitch.
I wish I had the talent and opportunity to play such different roles in one place.
Unfortunately not as I am no actress and my passion lies in writing and creating blogs for whoever reads my posts.

So this post is dedicated to a fabulous young woman who is set on the trail of success.

Nina's Look:

Nina Dobrev has a laidback look of jeans, tees and boots during the day (very much like her character Elena) but during the night, the party dresses come out to play.

Film Review: Red Riding Hood

This film is more than a thriller adaptation of the fairy tale story, Little Red Riding Hood. It is like the murder programmes of CSI and Murder She Wrote. All the way through I was trying to guess who the werewolf was. I was completely wrong in all my guesses! Expect the unexpected with this one!

In the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood is a sweet, innocent little girl taking fruit to her sick grandmother. In this film, Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is no angel. In fact, in the prologue of the film, she kills a white rabbit with her friend, and future lover, Peter (Shiloh Fernandez). Plus, she oozes sex appeal and dances quite raunchily with a female friend just to get the attention of Peter.
This is the bad boy that you want Valerie to be with, not the rich and 'dashing' boy, Henry (Max Irons). Henry does love Valerie and it is like the love triangle of the good and bad boys (think Vampire Diaries & Twilight).
The teenage drama of a love triangle combined with a werewolf on the loose is as much drama as a film needs. But, in this film, there is more.
It turns out Valerie can here and speak to the werewolf which makes her seem like a witch to her fellow villagers. The wolf wants her to come away with him before the blood moon ends, leaving them two days to find out who the murderer is and who wants her to leave with them. Also, a significant clue is that the wolves eyes are brown which seems to be the eye colour of the entire village.
The obvious two are Peter and Henry, the one's who love her and want to be with her. Both have brown eyes and both tell her in human form to come away with them. This puts a girl in a very awkward position. She can trust no-one which is great tension for the audience as we are always asking who is the the werewolf?
As I said, the werewolf is very unexpected! Don't be deceived by the one's who seem innocent!

Overall, it is a film to watch but maybe not a film to buy.
Four stars.

A Bit of Bite

It is safe to say that my favourite ever tv show is The Vampire Diaries. I've read the books (although not the latest) and I loved them! I have to admit that I didn't read the books until I had seen the entire of season one. They were a great eighteenth birthday present!

As you know from my last post, I received a very exciting parcel from amazon a few days ago! I've already watched it all because I am a tad obsessed with the show.

The end of last season was when it was known that Katherine was back and on a mission. No-one knew how or why but there she was impersonating Elena. She did it very well and the cliffhanger of season one was intense.
Season 2 started with the end of the last series to pull it all together and it has really been an incredible rollercoaster with a lot of bite since then.
People have died and come back to life. Katherine was up to her old tricks again, killing, manipulating and all sorts of mind meddling drama of the sorts. Damon and Stefan are still in love with Elena. Damon is the one that both girls don't want aka they love Stefan.
BUT now Stefan has turned evil again in order to save Damon's life because he was bitten by a werewolf. Oh, and there is a hybrid on the loose: the oldest, most powerful vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. Stefan's working for him.

It is safe to say that I cannot wait for Season three to come to UK screens! It's going to be Damon and Elena's season to shine! I have been waiting for this (although I do love Stefan to bits) for a very long time now! I just want them to have a bit of passion between them.

I hate how stunning they all are!

Post Presents

Everybody loves getting mail aka "post presents", especially presents from amazon. Back in April I pre-ordered the Vampire Diaries Season 2 and this week, it arrived! I've already watched the entire season. It took me about two days because I am that addicted! If you read my old blog, you would know that there are quite a few Vampire Diaries Season One posts. My next post will be the Vampire Diaries Season 2 update and how much I love Damon Salvitore and how there is a sneaky kiss between him and Elena!
Also this week, I had to order my books for uni. This year I'm studying Victorian Literature and Children's Lit. There are a lot of books on the reading list.
I ordered all of my Victorian books and one Children's as I'm supposed to read that before my very first lecture of the year! I'm going to try and ready it. Hopefully I will.

These are my post presents.
You can probably guess which one I was most excited about!

Around the World

I love travelling. A LOT. The thing is, I haven't really done a lot of it! I'm 19 and I have only ever been to different parts of England, Scotland, Disneyland Paris, Cyprus, Spain (when I was two so I can't really remember it) and Tenerife (my second home). That does not seem like a lot for a girl who loves to travel. Maybe I'm a girl who loves to dream about travelling to amazing places. I want to find the quiestest and most golden/white beach in the world with the bluest sea. I love the beach and that also means a better tan!

I asked my Hawaiian flatmate where she had been to because on Facebook, it always seemed like she was travelling.
She is definitely the traveller! :

Japan
Portugal
France
Spain
Ireland
Italy
Czech Republic
Bali
Aotearoa
Thailand
Austrailia

The last two she is hoping to go visit after her semester.
That for me is a lot of places and I want to go to every single one of them and more!

These are such breathtaking images of our world! I want to go to every single one of these exact images to say in a future blog: I have been there.

Next summer, I plan to travel around Europe for a month just to a few different places: Spain, France, Italy, Ireland... because I want to see different parts of the world before I go to live in Spain for nine months.

Also, as the year after, 2013, my friends and I will be 21, for the last of our birthdays (August), we are going to America for a week or two! Originally it was supposed to just be Las Vegas but we now want a trip starting in New York, going to North Carolina, then to California and Hollywood and ending up in Vegas.
I, for one, cannot wait to go! At least to start the whole booking process next year to cement that this dream will definitely come true.

That is the plan of action for August 2013.

Right now, I have a holiday in December to look forward to. It's not booked yet but I am having another holiday this year!

What destinations have you been to or dream of going to?
