What I Bought Yesterday

Yesterday, I went to Nueva Condomina for some necessities (and some sale splurges). I ended up spending quite a bit of money whilst walking around the shopping centre for hours. That is the reason why I don't go to that place a lot. I spend way to much money in there.

Stradivarius:

One of the reasons I needed to go shopping was to buy a skirt like the one above. It was only six euros!! It may need an iron. I go to London tomorrow and needed something to wear on Saturday night. I'll be having (sophisticated) cocktails at Slug & Lettuce. I'll be teaming the skirt with a black lace bralet - I don't care that it has been snowing - one of the above shirts (probably the skull one), black tights and black wedges. I wanted a shirt to go over the top of the outfit and saw these two beauties from the new collection in the store. They were 12.95 each but I really liked them; not that I'll wear them much but ah well!

Zara:

I saw the top first and really like it. I love saying/image vest tops recently. There were no smalls so I had to buy a medium. It's a little baggy but if I tuck it into a skirt it looks good. Green is my favourite colour, and emerald is the colour of my birthstone so I just had to pick up the first skirt pictured. It was in the sale for 19.95 as was the black silk skirt. I really liked them both when I tried them on. The top was around 6 euros too. I can justify all the buys so it is fine that I've bough another two maxi skirts and another vest top.

Botticelli:

I really wanted to buy another bag for the plane tomorrow. I was going to take my new blue handbag with the skull on but I doubt that I'd get everything in there. My Mum suggested my bright hippy-style backpack which I thought about but that against my black Pull and Bear coat would not work at all. Hence the need for a new bag. It looks kind of small but I think I can get all I need in there for my long weekend away. It has a load of different zip compartments inside which is really good for putting my passport, boarding passes, phone, I-pod etc. in. I still need to print my boarding passes off! For less than 25 euros aswell, I think it is a pretty good bargain!

I got a job at the local school instead of going to university too! I found out in the early hours of the morning. I am so ecstatic that I have the job and don't have to go back to that uni! And what better way to celebrate than flying back to London tomorrow for a long weekend! I am far too excited. I do have to get up at the latest 7am tomorrow morning to catch the 8am bus to the airport. It will be worth it when I am back in The Union with my friends and eating at the local Ask Italian!

For the rest of my day, I'll be deciding what to pack, packing, skyping my parents and going for Italian tonight for a friends leaving meal.

November Shopping Spree

I have just returned from a massive spree at Nueva Condimina! I love that place! I went with the intentions of getting a few necessities including some winter warmers (as I have none!) and some new boots because the ones from Miss Selfridge are really narrow at the toes so I can't wear them for too long, and they squelch on marble floor which is everywhere in the university!

First purchase:

Grey over-the-knee boots. I have always wanted over-the-knee boots and have finally found some that go over my chunkier calves! They were pretty cheap too! They were in the sale for 24.50 euros! I love the stone wash colour. It is safe to say that I am very pleased with these new boots, and the heel looks like it'll last a while unlike other boots I have had in the past.

Purchases 2,3 & 4:

Some much needed jumpers/cardigan were purchased today! I now have more of a varied selection of winter warmers to fling over a tee and leggings. I did see another one with the same style as the first jumper, but grey with a skull on and coloured roses. I tried the small in that and it felt a little bit tight. I like oversized jumpers and usually opt for large. Besides, I prefered this image of the wolf because it was a bit different to the many skull tops I own. It was 15.99 euros. The second jumper was the last in large and it fits perfectly! It's baggy, but not too much and I can fling it over anything because it is grey! I like the small detail across the shoulders too which seems to be everywhere at the moment! Priced at 19.99 euros, I think it was a very good buy! The last one was something that my friend, Hannah, picked up for me. It is in large and it is really comfy! It's 19.99 which I think is a reasonable enough price for a thick, warm cardy.

Purchase 5:

The BIG purchase! I am in love with these boots! I have always been a little bit envious of Emilie's YSL boots (mylittlefashiondiary.net) and I saw the zip on these boots and it was just love. That is the only way I can describe it. They were 39.99 euros which I think is really good for high heeled boots! I may just be saying it to myself to make me feel better with the fact that I have little money (with travels & Xmas coming up!), but I love them, and cannot wait to wear them at home! I was going to wear my brown New Look boots on Christmas Day, but these might have just overtaken them! By the way, I'll only be wearing my boots for photos and the like, or when family first arrive. For the rest of the day, I'll be in slippers thank you very much!

I bought some little necessities also which don't need to be added on the post.

Other things I have bought this month are three skirts and a bag. I did need my skirts for Christmas for a change from the usual leggings. And the bag was a necessity for nights out(!) although the zip isn't great but it has gold spikes on it!

My Mum freaked out a little when I showed her the amount of stuff I bought today. Dad just laughed.

I swear this happens to me when I'm shopping...

In other news, my friends and I have been planning various trips for next month before we go home (WHICH IS 5 WEEKS TODAY!), including Barcelona, Benidorm and Valencia. I hope (fingers and toes crossed) that we seriously do go through with it as it'll be an amazing way to end the first semester and it gives us so much more to look forward to before Christmas! I have also been planning a trip to Madrid for a long weekend in February, and another trip to Valencia for Las Fallas in March. I plan to go on plenty of weekend trips next semester, as well as try harder with this university despite how much I despise it!

Winter Warmers

Another Saturday afternoon was spent at Nueva Condimina, buying things which I may not be able to afford. To be fair to myself, the majority of the money I spent was for various birthday/Christmas presents. I did, however, buy myself three things which are Winter Warmers and things that I will definitely be taking home with me this December.

Coat: Pull & Bear
Scarf: Zara
Top: Shana

At the moment, I am going through a stage of wanting black things, with studs on, combined with skull prints, topped off with heavy jewellery. I remember, during first year how I'd always wear bright colours despite it being Winter, and my flatmates would say that I always looked summery. Last year, I went through a stage of living in black tops and black leggings. Now, I get to wear summery clothes all the time, but can't really wear anything black because it is just too warm. That's another reason why I want to return to England (apart from missing home loads lately), I want to be able to wear Autumn/Winter fashion, and wrap up in a chunky knit with my leggings on, and a blanket wrapped around me, in front of the fire. I worked out that it is 65 days until I return home! I am beyond excited!

Until then, I have my new friends, nights out, the beach, and the sun to keep me going.

Live For The Weekend

This weekend has been so good! After a not so good week of disorganization of the university, classes being cancelled, missing home etc. etc. this weekend was something that I really needed to get me back to loving life in Spain.

For some reason, university was closed on Friday, which seems to happen here a lot. I'm not complaining because it means I got a three day weekend which is definitely better than two! On Friday, I went shopping with two of the girls to the massive shopping centre, Nueva Condimina: it is my new favourite place. It has Primark and H&M (even though I'm not much of a Primark fan anymore) and loads of other cheap stores!

I spent quite a bit of money, and I'm incorporating a what I bought today post into this...

Everything apart from the notebook is from Nueva Condimina. The shoes I saw were in the sale for less than 20 euros, and I can't resist a good bargain. Plus, they're really funky and bright, a pair that I'd wear with an LBD, or a denim dress or something like that. I needed more studs because I have my ear lobes pierced twice, and I'm always losing studs, or leaving them in England, so I needed a few more. The other earrings and necklaces I just could not resist. I'm going through a rock chick stage again (hence the jumper) and I just want to toughen up my look a bit without having to wear black all the time, because it is too hot out here at the moment to do so! I saw the photo frame and thought of my real proper grown up place after university, which I know is a long way off yet, but I thought to myself, I am never going to find this again, so I just bought it. And, last but not least, my new uni notepad... My love for surfing from the land.. One day I'll get on a surfboard and have a go!

Friday evening was an ESN international student party night. We went to a bar/club that was underneath Plaza de Toros! The place was pretty cool and the drinks were cheap too! It was a good night, and I enjoyed it!

Yesterday, a group of us went to Alicante beach again. The majority of us got the 1pm bus as we were a bit delicate in the morning. The sea had more waves yesterday which was amazing although there was tonnes of seaweed everywhere! I love Alicante, and my friend found out about a bar that has events and stuff there, so think we might be going next month for a night. It'll be nice to go somewhere other than Murcia on a night out because I haven't seen many proper clubs here.

*Pics were taken last week of Alicante

And last night/today, all I've done is chilled out and watch The Hills and wish/dream that my life will be that exciting at the age of 22/23! And that I'll have the dream start to my career, but then again, maybe I'll be abroad travelling somewhere instead. Who knows?

Next weekends plan is a trip to Granada! So, at the moment, I am definitely living for the weekends whilst out here.

P.S. I've also booked my flights home! I'll be back on English soil on the 19th December!

What I've Bought So Far... In Spain!

As you all know from my last blog post/Facebook/Twitter, I am loving life in Murcia, Spain at the moment!
I have been here for two weeks now, and it's a weird feeling: I feel like I've been here forever, but I also feel like it's been ages since I saw my Mum & Dad in person (who left last Friday) too, and yet it feels like time is going so slow & fast at the same time. It's weird.

Anyway, to the point of this post, I have been shopping this week! I couldn't not treat myself to a few buys from my favourite Spanish store, Mango! One of items, the skirt, is to wear on Christmas Day. Yes, I'm already planning that far ahead! I've already bought my Mum's presents! I would post them on here but it could get back to her, even though she doesn't have blogger/Facebook or whatever. I'm really excited for Christmas this year! Usually, I'm the Scrooge of Xmas until the Coke advert comes on, but I'm really excited! Have already been counting down the days/weeks like a child.

I keep going off in a tangent, so here are my buys so far...

1. Belly bars: La Fería.
2. Spanish pants: La Fería.
3. Top: Mango.
4. Skirt: Mango.

I'll be sharing more clothes/accessories I buy for myself when I buy them.

Yesterday, I went to Alicante for a bit of sightseeing and a day at the beach. It was the best day of Spain so far! I'll post some pics either later or tomorrow.

Topshop Love

When I was a couple of years younger, I was never really a fan of Topshop. Everyone used to rave about Topshop, but they were a bit older. Now, I can see why everyone raved about Topshop because I absolutely love it! There should be a panic button when I go into a Topshop store, especially in London as I spend massive amounts! For example, a few weeks ago in Topshop, I spent approx £186. That was with student discount aswell!

Those are two of the things I bought in that massive spree. I've yet to wear the top (which says a lot about me). I like to save new clothes for a while before wearing them which is weird for a girl, because usually girls have to wear new clothes straightaway.

When I was looking for an outfit for my cousins wedding in April, Topshop was my saviour. I had a whole outfit planned from River Island apart from a blazer. I searched high and low for that blazer, a pink lace one preferably, and I never found one that was the right colour. I found a different blazer from New Look that I wanted to wear instead with pastel colours. Cue new search for outfit and a shopping trip to Liverpool. There, I went to Topshop and found the following dress.

Dress: Topshop
Jewellery: Topshop
Shoes: Missguided
Makeup: Boots

There are so many new things from Topshop that I'd love to have too! As I'm going on a family holiday to Portugal, I want laidback things as it's a very relaxing holiday, and then I'm going to V Festival at the end of August which means festival shopping! I'd love to go to Tenerife on a girlie hol, as well as little trips at the odd weekend to the countryside. That's just dreaming though.

Here's a bit of a Topshop wishlist!

I haven't added the cost of all these items as I'd probably depress myself because there is no way I could afford all that right now.

What's on your Topshop/high street wishlist?
