May Inspiration

May is my favourite month of the year because there is always something happening every weekend throughout it.

Also, it is my Birthday Month! And this year, I am turning 21 in Alicante, on the beach or by the pool side with the majority of my favourite people in the world. It's safe to say that I am looking forward to next weekend!

This weekend, there is a festival in Murcia, SOS 4.8, which I will be attending with one, or more, of my friends.

The fourth weekend I'm taking a trip to my beloved Roehampton to see my lovely uni friends for the weekend of the Summer Ball! I worked it last year so it will be exciting to actually be able to attend it again this year! Plus, seeing all my friends will be amazing because I miss them huge amounts.

And, the weekend after that, my best friend is coming to visit me in Murcia!

On top of all these busy weekends, I have work in my school which I still love, plus I have a tonne of work to do for university too, on top of tutoring sessions and sorting my room out (which I've already started).

(L-R) Family; Birthday Balloons; Beach Bedroom; Interiors; Drinkin' With M' Bitches; Imogen Belfield Ring; Festival Fashion; Pretty Little Dress; Friends On The Beach; Too Many Clothes To Fit In One Suitcase; Summer Lovin'; Peacock Colours

May really is the best month of the year!

April Inspiration

We are already half way through April! I cannot believe how fast this year is going already. I am not loving it, that's for sure. Before I know it, I'll be back in cold England for good and starting my final year of university.

Like every month, it is (passed) time to create an inspiration board for the month.

Happy April!

1. During the Easter holidays, I was sick. It always happens when I'm home aka Christmas and Easter. Therefore, I didn't get to do as much as I wanted. I did catch up on a load of British TV and I caught up with all the drama of the soaps as I lay on the couch day in, day out.

2. I have been back in Spain for over a week! Time flies when you're having fun etc. I can't believe I leave in less than three months. That will be the end of my year abroad. This makes me very sad. I don't want to leave the sun and the sea!

3. I have so many exciting writing opportunities coming my way at the moment! As a twenty year old, I am really proud of myself and how far I've gotten in the past two years of publishing my work on online blogs and magazines!

4. It was SG's second birthday on the 2nd! So, HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY SG!

5. Lot's of exciting things coming up in the next few months! This year is definitely in my top two of life so far... Having the best time!

Going Home.

I have not blogged in a long time. I have no excuse really because I'm not mega busy or anything. I've become a fan of Pinterest recently to put a load of different inspiration up, mainly to do with 'Ink' which I am loving at the moment.

Technically, as seen as it's after midnight, I go home tomorrow night! I am beyond excited and cannot wait!! I just want to have a full English and a hot Ribena on the couch, in front of the telly, in the evening. That will be happening on Friday among seeing the family!

I want to do so much whilst at home for the short three weeks I'm there, so I've made a list, but with proper SG style, here's an inspiration board.

L-R: Catching up with friends like the crazy people that we are; Making 21st birthday plans (way in advance!); Putting the Christmas tree up (parents have waited for me to come home :)); Eating a massive Xmas dinner; Spending quality time with my family (miss them); Reading loads; Writing what I want to write, not what a university wants me to; Eating a full English; Eating out at an Indian restaurant; Going out with the girls; Getting my hair restyled (I'm liking this - long layers); NYE; Seeing Breaking Dawn (it is at the top of my list!); Going to a panto with family; Being addicted as ever to tattoos.

This is what my diary of the next three weeks will look like, plus other things as plans are made and people come home for Christmas. It looks like I'm about to put on many pounds from all the food I plan to eat! It's a good job I've already thought about exercise for next year (including Zumba!).

I cannot wait to be in the comfiest bed in the world, and have the best sleep ever after getting home early hours of Friday morning!

I'll be blogging more over the Christmas period, and I've planned a couple of Xmas HerUni posts too so look out for them.

Saturday Night is Girl's Night

I did have a full length photo but it was awful so I decided against uploading it.

1. Last night, I went out for a meal to Harvester with a few of my girlfriends. I had garlic bread for a starter and fish & chips for my main which was lovely! I love going out for meals with my friends, especially after six/seven weeks of not seeing them. It was a fab meal with beautiful friends. After Harvester, we went to Spoons for a drink and saw more people from home. I love catching up with all my friends from home. It was great to see everyone!
Recently, those rings have been the ones that I always wear on a night out: my animal rings. The fox is from River Island, the snake from Primark, and the elephant from Republic: some of my fav high street stores!

2. I've nearly finished all my Xmas shopping! There's only a few more blanks that I need to order/buy! This morning, I went over to Liverpool for a few bits with my friend, Joss, and then, we went to ASDA. You can't go wrong with ASDA for wrapping paper and cards and wine and chocs! I may start wrapping my presents on Tuesday and have a day to myself whilst watching a Christmas film. I've already taken a 'before' picture for my Xmas Wrapping post. Can't wait to wrap, and write my cards!

3. As I write this, I'm watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! It is such a weird and funny film! Oompa, Loompa... For tea, Mum, Dad, and I are having a 'mess around'. Many people don't know what a mess around is but it's basically just bits and pieces of cold meat, cheese, salad, crisps and the like. I love mess arounds at home! I tried to recreate it in London but it didn't happen. Tonight, I'm going to Spoons again with some friends to catch up with my best friend as she's been in London this weekend. Can't wait!

Things to do this Summer

So, if you're like me and have multiple loans/overdrafts etc. etc. but still want to have that amazing summer then you may enjoy reading this unless you've already thought of these ideas yourself which is not rocket science, but I wanted to post nice pictures and ideas and the like for all you lot who read this blog.

1. If you are close to a beach, that is a perfect start.

Lucky you lot who live in Cornwall!

In the day, it is obvious what you can do at the beach: sunbathe! and perhaps if you're lucky enough, you can go surfing and the life which keeps you fit as well. Then, when the night time comes, get a few of your mates out with a crate of beer and party until the sun comes up (as long as you pick all your crap up and don't leave it on the beach!).
The price to go is free initially. If you want to do sports, then I have no idea (apologies) and a crate of beer is what 3 for £20 in some shops. Cheap as!

2. Picnic

Set an amount of money for everyone to spend (e.g. a fiver) and organise who buys what. If there is a load of you, make sure people get different things like drink, ham, cheese, bread, crisps, chocolate etc. and voila! there you have a massive banquet for you and your friends. Plan to meet in the local park on a sunny day and take a chequered blanket to either put the food on or sprawl out and catch some rays.

3. Garden Party

Yours obviously doesn't have to look this posh or pretty with tea pots and the like. Like the picnic get a few people to bring their own bits of food and drink and just enjoys each others company outside in the fresh air. Make sure that there are plenty of places for people to sit and have a chat.
Then, when it gets darker, bring the party inside and put on some music.

4. House Party

There is a fabulous section in The Goddess Guide by Gisele Scanlon about how to throw your own house party. It includes things like: putting a couple of chairs and tables in a corner for people to chat and put their drinks down so that it there are no stains on the carpet; how to get stains out of a carpet e.g. sick and wine (red); to put all valuables in one place and lock them away so that it'll be easy to find them in the morning. It really is two pages of great tips and advice.
I think that the book is around £10.99.

5. Road Trip

Get a few of your friends to chip in for petrol and off you go. Pack a few things and take some money and just drive to wherever you feel like it.

6. Camping

Go camping! Or glamping, whichever you feel like. Take a tent and a few clothes, drinks, food and anything else that you don't need electric for, obviously. Build a camp fire and drink all night, singing camp songs or just generally talk and gossip amongst yourselves.
Do this every night until you get bored or you can't pay the spot price anymore and drive home.

Return to London!

I have returned to London and after five and a half hours of travelling, I had less than an hour to get ready before leaving for the Party Bus!

The night:
7pm - Get on bus
7:45pm - Enter Strawberry Moons
9:30pm - Get on bus
9:50pm - Enter Zoo Bar
11pm - Get on bus
11:15pm - Enter Bar Rumba
12:15am - Get on bus
12:45am - Enter Sway
2:10am - Get on bus
3:00 - Enter Roehampton University

Whilst on the bus, the music was blasting away and everyone was on the top deck dancing around, through the aisle and on the seats. It was marvellous!
And the amount of people who were looking at us from the streets below (I sound like a proper pompous prat now! I'm not, honestly!) It was immense how many people actually took photographs of us. Seriously, I felt like a celeb getting chauffeured around London Town.

A few piccies...

Me and some of the girls from Newman 3!
Amazing night for an amazing birthday with amazing friends!
Love!
